PLEASE REALIZE THAT DUE DATES ARE WHEN THE SCHOLARSHIP IS DUE TO WHEREVER IT IS GOING.  IF YOU BRING ME AN APPLICATION ON THE DUE DATE, I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET IT SENT IN TIME. ANY ROW THAT IS GRAY IS NOT ACTIVE FOR THIS YEAR.

 (4) $500 awards for students interested in the teaching profession
February 14, 2025 North Western Electric Scholarships Follow the directions on the website (linked in previous column) to apply for several scholarship opportunities that are available. 
February 15, 2025 Engineers Foundation of Ohio

Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average;  meet the minimum SAT (Math=600, Reading or Composition=500) or ACT (Math=29, English=25) test scores as set by the National Society of Professional Engineers; &be a citizen of the United States and a permanent resident of the State of Ohio.
February 15, 2025 ACME Baseball Scholarship $500.00 guaranteed one winner from our school.  Must have played at least one year of ACME baseball.  Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
February 28, 2025 Montpelier Area Foundation MAF provides thousands of dollars in scholarships.  Please fill this out and get it back to me if you are planning on attending college!  Go to the high school section. There are also county scholarships on this site.  Apply for those, too! Interviews will be on April 2nd starting at 4:30 PM.
March 1, 2025 Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio $1500 to any student who plans to attend college.  Return application and a letter of recommendation to meekercp@gmail.com by March 1, 2025.
March 1, 2025 ZONTA Club of Defiance

❑ Active commitment to volunteerism.
❑ Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).

❑ Support for Zonta International’s mission of empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
 
March 15, 2025 Hagan Scholarship Foundation Up to $7500 per semester for 4 years.  Must have a 3.5 GPA.  Read the fine print here before filling this out.
March 15, 2025 Montpelier Eagles Scholarship 2 or more $2500 scholarships.  Must have a parent or grandparent who is a 3+ year paid member, have a 2.0 GPA.  Please note this due date is over spring break. 
March 27, 2025 Montpelier Music Booster Scholarships There are several scholarships available through our Boosters using the linked application.
March 27, 2025 Civic League Volunteerism  $1000 based on volunteer work.   Turn in to Mrs. Friend.  
March 27, 2025 Civic League- Other There are 3 other Civic League Scholarships on this second link.  Turn into Mrs. Friend.  
March 27, 2025 Civic League- Vocational

Vocational Scholarship - $1000 award presented to one student who meets the following criteria: planning to attend an occupational training program of two-years or less at an accredited vocational school, trade school, technical school, community college or junior college

Consideration is to be given to work & class history, qualifications of leadership, service, and participation in activities of the school and community.
March 27, 2025 Montpelier Academic Boosters $750 (2) for a deserving candidate.
March 27, 2025 Montpelier Athletic Boosters Scholarships

Two scholarships for athletes.  There are different requirements for each.  See application.
March 27, 2025 Montpelier Local Scholarships There are a variety of academic scholarships on this application.  Turn in to Mrs. Friend.  There may be interviews for these.
March 27, 2025 Fred & Shirley Bauer Scholarship This $1750 scholarship will go to a student who will be attending BGSU. 
March 27, 2025 Kiwanis Scholarship $750 Students with volunteer work are prioritized.  

Must continue education at a 4 year college and have demonstrated community service.
March 28, 2025 Live Like Mel $500 scholarship for a senior planning to enter into the field of education.
March 31, 2025 Montpelier Ministerial Association This scholarship will have an interview to make the choice along with the application.  Turn in to Mrs. Friend.
March 31, 2025 Williams County Pork Producers $500 scholarship.  Must have a 2.25 GPA or higher.  
March 31, 2025 Moser Nursing Scholarship $1000 scholarship for a student who aspires to be a LPN or RN.  
March 31, 2025 Montpelier Rotary Scholarships Two available scholarships at $1500 each.  Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

Students must be involved in extra-curricular activities, show school citizenship, and need of the individual in light of the goals he/she has set for himself/herself. 
April 1, 2025 Bryan Area Business Women Scholarship $500 scholarship.  Must have a 2.75 GPA or higher. Guidelines linked in title.  Application linked HERE.
April 1, 2025 Williams County Farm Bureau $500 scholarship.  Applicants must be son or daughter of a CURRENT Defiance, Fulton, Henry, or Williams County Farm Bureau member.  Applicants majoring in agriculture and/or science areas will have first preference. However, all applications will be reviewed.
April 4, 2025 Bill Noethen Scholarship The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the late Herbert W. Noethen. Bill served
Montpelier for 24 years, 10 of those years as the Chief of Police at Montpelier Police
Department. This scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating Montpelier High
School senior in good standing. Bill was always proud of Montpelier, especially the
youth of Montpelier. We, his family and friends, are proud to honor him in this way
while supporting the community he was most proud of.
April 15, 2025 Williams County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student entering the field of education. 
April 14, 2025 Frank and Elaine Lesnet Miseta Scholarship

Some of the requirements are unclear on that page that is linked.  

I need the essay and resume (check the requirements for each) and then two letters of recommendation.  Ignore that whole email part.

$12, 000 ($3,000 per year for four years).  Please apply!  There aren't really any parameters other than you must attend a four-year school. Turn in all documents to Mrs. Friend.  DO NOT make an account on Columbus Foundation.
April 16, 2025 Kunkle Presbyterian Church Scholarship This scholarship is geared towards someone with church involvement, but it is not required.
