Working with Kids

Michelle is a Licensed Independent Social Work Supervisor with both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.  She has twenty years of experience working with children, youth and families.  She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Cincinnati and her Master of Social Work Degree from New York University.  Michelle is a Licensed School Social Worker through the Ohio Department of Education and is a Licensed Independent Social Work Supervisor from the Ohio CSWMFT Board.  Michelle has additional certificates and training in School Social Work, Peer to Peer Mediation, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Crisis Prevention, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, PAX and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for use in Schools.  She is also a trained presenter in Understanding and Managing Trauma in Children.

Michelle is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the School Social Work Association of America, the Ohio School Social Workers Association, the National Association of Christians in Social Work, and is involved in several community coalitions and groups including the ECHO Coalition and a part of the Community Health Improvement Plan.  Michelle is also a part of the treatment team and steering committee for the Williams County Family Intervention Court.
